Stones in his hands

Stones in his hands,
a soul determined.
The pride of his generation
the legacy of his land.

Stones in his hands,
handy to be thrown
a hopeful struggle of a people,
of a nation; relentlessly fighting for existence.

Stones in his hands,
a symbol of faith materialised
though seemingly absurd, hardly apprehend.
The Greatness of God laid bare under the sun
yet doubting hearts shall never perceive,
always unable to accept His wills and signs.

Stones in his hands,
‘God is Great’ is his endless chant.
To the armed military,
heavily armoured with shields and tanks
he threw his stones,
without feeling afraid, never wanting to run.
Chanting ‘God is Great’,
he faces terror with only stones in his hands
the hope of his people,
the right of his believing kind.

As God is Great,
so why should he be afraid
of those little ignorant men,
shouldn’t God of the heavens and the earth
be greater than them all?

Stones in his hands,
thrown not only to survive
but a genesis to hundreds of his like;
the proven warriors of this chosen land.
Stones in his hands,
and God is Great is his chant.

I’ve been delaying this post for a specific purpose. At the moment my class are preparing some information on our current Project I-Boycott Israel/Zionists products! We’re aiming to produce a list of alternatives or a little helping guide for people to shop for non-Zionists products (and supporters’ produce) around the UK. You can find out a lengthy and exhaustive list of ‘to boycott’ products of Israel and their supporters but upon reading this lists people often argue that their goods are too many, could there be ‘others’ for us to buy?

Yes, they are! And they would increase and gain more exposure if all of us could support this noble cause by buying and promoting them to all. The Palestinians issue has been an ongoing conflict where the world shamelessly deny their rightful rights of freedom and humanity. The US led Zionists supporting countries are helping the Israel state to nourish and prosper at the cost of Palestinian lives. Palestine has been colonised for so long and by witty political means, the world seems to forget that such acts are simply illegal. People are talking about Palestinian or their democratically chosen government of Hamas should be seating down to talk and come to terms with Israel when they are the victims of Zionist colonisation, torment and oppression. Doesn’t that sound a bit too odd, silly perhaps?

This issue is not the problem of Muslims only; as Palestine has been the land of Jews and Christians too and if you’re not aware, they are also subjected to this endless torture from the Zionist projects. And this is not the problem of Palestine only as the world has witnessed such atrocities all over the world; in Afghanistan, Chechnya and Iraq through another form, with all kinds of excuses. And this is our problem, because we believe in peace and we believe in the right of freedom for every living soul.

I-Boycott Israeli/Zionists products, goods and their supporters because I believe in love, freedom and humanity. What about you?

*** Notes to remember 9th Feb 08: Happy Birthday to my dearest Papa! Sham’s family came for a visit today and they were soooo nice, I feel like I haven’t had ‘a visit from a friend’ for a long long time. Thanks!
